Bridget Hassed
Comedian, Performer & Writer

About
Bridget is a Melbourne-born, Brisbane-raised comedian, writer and all-round cool guy (who also lived in Sydney for a bit but it was just fine).

After making a name for herself in the Queensland comedy scene performing all over Brisbane, Gold Coast, Toowoomba and even scoring herself a spot in the RAW Comedy State Finals; she made her way through Sydney and back home to Melbourne where she’s been entertaining audiences with her unique style of dark, deadpan and all round silly brand of comedy.

After two split bill shows with her best friend Ryan in Sydney, Brisbane & Wollongong, performing her first solo show at Sydney Fringe & Good Chat Comedy Festivals in 2023; Bridget debuted "GIRL GIRL GIRL" at the 2024 Melbourne International Comedy Festival to critical acclaim, and was nominated for The Best Newcomer award.

Bridget identifies as a queer, neurodivergent, and chronically ill performer that comes from a multidisciplinary background of stand-up, acting, and improv (She also used to sing for a bit but "accidentally chain smoked too much in her early 20's"). She has been seen in Pilot Health's social media campaign, has been interviewed for Good Food Guide and has written for Refinery29.
The Age
"Hassed weaves both a mirthful and viciously cutting web similar to those conjured by Anne Edmonds or Celia Pacquola".
Hugging Comedians
"Bridget's raw authenticity and occasional vulnerability felt akin to the brilliant comedy stylings of Nina Oyama".
The Age
"It's not hard to envision her name up in lights and in far bigger rooms in years to come".
