COMEDIAN
I've been performing the noble art of stand-up comedy since 2018. In that time, I've lived and performed in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne where I permanently reside (and never want to move again).
In 2022, I performed my first split bill shows Well Done at Sydney Fringe Festival and Good Chat Comedy Festival, followed by Gold Star at Wollongong Comedy Festival in early 2023. Later that year, I went on to debut my first solo hour Dumbass at the Sydney Fringe Festival, right after I'd moved from Sydney to Melbourne - genius! In 2024, I debuted GIRL GIRL GIRL at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival to critical acclaim, and was nominated for the Best Newcomer award.
In 2025, I'll be doing my new show Live Stand Up Comedy Show Female Comedian Local Comedy Festival Event at Melbourne International Comedy Festival with tickets on sale now!
ACTOR
I've studied acting on and off for many years now, beginning in high school, and later going on to study an Advanced Diploma or Arts (Acting). Did I finish the degree? Well, I'm paying enough HECS I might as well have.
I've taken classes with Tom McSweeney, Peter Rasmussen and studied the work of Stanislavski and Uta Hagen. Although comedy has consumed my life for the last few years, some of my recent work includes Pilot Health's social media campaign in 2023, as well The Tabitha Booth Fundraiser Spectacular & Formal Apology Hour and The Telling of The Untold Story of Tabitha Booth in 2024.
(pictured , Frankie McNair as Tabitha Booth and myself as band member/mascot hybrid that I can't really explain unless you watch the fundraiser).
WRITER
Naturally, I've had to learn and teach myself about all the nuances of writing stand up comedy, which mainly consists of not going for the easy, cheap laughs even though it's sooo tempting.
I wrote extensively on my deceased Substack Another Important Opinion until I couldn't make enough time for it anymore (I'm a busy gal, sorry!). Essentially, each month I shared what I reckon-ed about three topics, plus there are a couple personal essays on there about sobriety, going to the doctor 3 times in a week just for my pussy, and the desire to scream on the street. It's all still there if you're fanging for a read.
I've also written for Refinery29's Money Diaries, am currently working on a pilot I'll be applying for funding for in 2025, and am hoping to move into comedy writing alongside stand-up (which is to say if you need another body in a writer's room, I'm here if you need!)
